Experience Divine Blessings on Fridays
Friday is considered an auspicious day dedicated to Mother Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity. On this sacred day, we invite devotees to participate in special rituals at our Go:sa:la.
What Happens in Friday Cow Bath:
- The cows are brought to a designated space in the gosala for the ceremonial bath.
- Turmeric paste and herbal waters are gently applied to cleanse and sanctify their bodies.
- The cows are then bathed with fresh water, while mantras are softly chanted.
- After the bath, their foreheads are adorned with tilak made of sandalwood, turmeric, or kumkum.
- Garlands of fresh flowers and decorative bells are placed around their necks.
- Devotees joyfully participate in the ritual, singing bhajans and chanting as they serve.
- Volunteers may offer grass, grains, or jaggery as part of the loving service to the cows.
Significance of the Seva
- Invokes Lakshmi’s Presence: Friday being Devi’s day, this act invites fortune and auspiciousness
- Purifies Mind and Soul: As the cows are cleaned, so is the karma of the devotee
- Dispels Negativity: Removes financial and energetic blockages that affect prosperity
- Joyful Ritual: Fills the Gosala with divine aroma and festive spirit
